I tried finding a pull quote illustrating how poorly Ms. DeVos performed at her Senate hearing yesterday, but was stymied by the breadth of her ignorance. So many of her responses reeked of her lack of knowledge.
How could this be? Oh, I found a good pull quote to answer that question (Mother Jones):
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) didn’t shy away from challenging DeVos on her family’s large contributions to the Republican Party. “Do you think that if you were not a multibillionaire, if your family had not made hundreds of millions of dollars in contributions, that you would be sitting here today?”
Never one to pull a punch, Sanders got right to the heart of the matter.
The article is a short one, comprised mainly of questions posed by senators and Ms. DeVos’ unintelligent answers. Worth a read to see what we’re getting from what amounts to a temper tantrum by the “left behind.”
As with Rick Perry, the Trump administration is shaping up to be unqualified, unaware, and aggressively ignorant of the duties before them.
