To use a hackneyed, though appropriate, phrase – what did the president know of General Flynn’s actions re: the Russian government, and when did he know it? And why didn’t he do something about it?
If Trump knew nothing, why did he nominate a cypher as NSA? General Flynn’s entire background should have been an open book to the incoming administration. Is elevating Flynn not a dereliction of duty to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States?
If he did know, or had back channel communication about what was rumored of Flynn’s actions, doesn’t elevating a man so compromised to the most critical national security post in the US government rise to define “high crimes and misdemeanors?”
