Mr. Trump May Have Shot Himself in the Foot

Mr. Trump authored a Twitter post this past weekend that was followed up by a “no comment” by his White House press secretary.

Too late, though. Trump’s tweet may have revealed previously undisclosed information about a wiretapping operation at Trump Tower in New York City. The trouble for Trump is, if his claim is not true he’ll look like an even greater buffoon than he does now, and if it’s true he’s revealed evidence of an ongoing criminal or national security investigation. No-one is immune from prosecution for doing such, not even the president.

He just couldn’t help himself.
